Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Phone MM-A800 by Samsung

I can't find any reviews yet, but the price runs from $340-$400 something. My advice? Watch the review sites, and don't be the first to buy one. Also, there may be other manufacturers coming out with 2 megapixel phonecams making deals with other networks. I will probably end up getting one as the quality of the camera does show up on flickr.com and when you view the photos.Sprint PCS Vision Multimedia Phone MM-A800 by Samsung

From pro-social to anti-social, phonecams in the news around the world

"Cetizen" site in Korea has 700000 members and is looking for them to move into the arena of journalism in "Mobile Phone Photo News." INSIDE JoongAng Daily

From Wales the bizarre youth pastime of "happy slapping"
Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott added his support to the move [banning teens from wearing baseball caps and hoodies from shopping malls] after revealing he almost fell victim to the "happy slapping" craze in which thugs use mobile phone cameras to film attacks on passers-by.

From New Zealand come stories of children getting "text bullied" by other kids. What a world, what technology.

Traffic jammin'

Derby? Well the action on the street might be just as much fun. Phonecam users were in evidence...Traffic jammin': "On a day when a 50-1 long shot won the Kentucky Derby, the cruising on Broadway was almost as amazing.

By 5 p.m. traffic had backed up several blocks east of Fourth Street -- the supposed eastern edge of the cruising zone -- with cars thumping hip-hop music loud enough to shake the asphalt under their tires.

Scantily clad women hung out of car windows and gyrated to the music; one stood in the car window in her high heel shoes and stretched the string of her thong so men standing on Broadway could see what she was wearing under her shorts."

Can you see me now? Say hello to cell TV

You might need to register (try http://bugmenot.com) to read the whole article, but TV is coming to the tiny screen.
Can you see me now? Say hello to cell TV: "As cell-phone companies search for new features to make more money from customers, TV has been tapped as the next cell-phone craze. Sprint TV launched last August, while Cingular's version, using MobiTV, debuted in January. Today's video may look more like a fast-moving slideshow on a subpar TV. But technology is improving, and cell-phone companies and their entertainment counterparts are lining up to get a piece of the not-quite live action."

Here is a site related to phonecams as it covers cellphones in Canada. We in the balkanized tech network of cellphones in the USA need to monitor other countries where standards enable users to get access to services we in the non-standardized jungle of USA cell phones can't get.
